This honorary painting celebrating the writer and the painter was presented at the 1841 annual exhibition at the Museum of Rouen before returning to a private collection. In 2000, it was bought by the Maison des Champs thanks to a grant from the Regional Museums Acquisition Fund. Behind Pierre Corneille, on the left, you can see part of Rouen, and behind Nicolas Poussin, on the right, you can see Petit Andely and Château Gaillard.
